I've been inspired by all the pillows being made over at Sew, Mama, Sew this month, so I decided a great first project for my new machine would be a big floor pillow for my daughter's room. She has a great room, but it's a little low on seating, so a floor pillow in the corner by the bookshelf ought to be just right.
I picked out some great P Kaufmann home dec fabric called "It's a hoot" at my local fabric shop. This is my first time making a large box pillow and inserting a lapped zipper. Here are some in progress photos. I finished tonight and am sufficiently happy with the way it turned out. Tomorrow, I'll take some pictures when the imp tries out the finished product.
